[All_CAVBA] Tournament Evaluation - Sometimes Less is More...

As it turns out, sometimes it is better to be a man down than to be stuck with a less skilled player. The 3's teams made it further than the 4's teams. So the next time someone looks to play on your team to make the teams "EVEN" - you better think it through ;)

As for the tournament - I think everybody had a good time - Randy was on AJ's team so he couldn't quit halfway through the day. All the teams looked relatively even. The first place team on our net was 4-2, and the last place was around 2-4. And then Pool Play ended and we got bamboozled by this bull-shit one game playoff. First off - when asking the teams which they would prefer, the captains should be given all the information. A one game play-off would have been voted against by pretty much every captain. To play 2 games against each team on your pool and then have a one game play-off against a team you haven't played yet doesn't give you a chance to adjust and try anything new.

Pizza as a lunch allowed people to eat a quick lunch - they didn't really have to stand in line as they do with BBQ, so I think Pizza was a nice picnic food for a change. Next year we can get back to something more traditional.
