[All_CAVBA] Draw Volleyball Tournament - Reverse CoEd Saturday September 19, 2009 !!!‏

YES - this is a Draw tournament !!!  Thanks to the 3 teams that signed up, but we don't have enough teams signed up to the bring your own team tournament - I tried.  It is a bit sad though - I'm not sure if it is because there aren't very many good male setters or if it is because the women who can hit on a women's net don't have any friends, but either way, the Draw Tournament is on !!!

The Central Arkansas Volleyball Association is happy to announce
our Reverse Co-Ed Draw Tournament will be held Saturday September 19, 2009 !!!‏

Format: 3/4's depending on the number of entrants 

Fee: $10 members/$15 non-members

Location: Murray Park 

Time: Sign-up 9:00- 9:15 Draw 9:30


**** Reverse Co-Ed Format ****
  Yes, this is a reverse Co-Ed tournament - meaning that is a ball is hit more than 1 time on a side, a guy has to be one of the people who touched the ball.   So congratulations all you short guys who are useless in regular volleyball - your setting ability might make you useful for this tournament ;)  The net will be at women's height - 7'4", and I am adopting the Memphis reverse Co-Ed 12 foot line - Men cannot attack a ball unless they jump behind the 12 foot line. 
   **** Team Selection ****
Tiered luck of the draw (Players divided into 4 categories [Good Girls, Good Guys, Bad Guys, and Bad Girls]* each team is randomly draw with 1 player from each category.

**** There will be a lunch break ****
  I don't know why the policy has always been that we may or may not be a lunch break.  This time there WILL be a lunch break - starting sometime around Noon, there will be a 45 minute lunch break.  Subway is just around the corner, and Sonic is just up the road a bit.

Tournaments last from 9-6, we want everyone to play, but if you cannot
stay for the entire tournament, we request that you refrain from
entering into the tournament as leaving early is not fair to the other
members of your team.

* If you are reading this part, you have way too much time on your hands.  Anyhow, if there are not enough Good Guys for a category, it is possible that a Bad Guy may be promoted to Good Guy for the tournament.  And Bad Girls are skill-wise bad, not the fun kind of Bad ;)  I guess I could have stated Upper and Lower Men/Women, but who would want to be a lower girl when they can be a Bad Girl ?  Back to work Slackers !!!  Reading this at work is the same as stealing from your company !!!
