[All_CAVBA] Foxwood Sand Volleyball League

  Every year Steve Evans runs a sand volleyball 6's league.  The teams range in skill level , some are pretty good, and some teams are just getting started in volleyball, but the majority of the teams are somewhere in the middle. It is a lot of fun.  
  If you want to play but don't have a team - give Steve a call, if you have any volleyball talent*, he can probably find a team for you.

Jacksonville's Foxwood Sand Volleyball League will start May 5th. 
The format is coed sixes. The league games will be each Wednesday night and 
last for ten weeks. To sign up a team, or for more info call Steve 
Evans at cell 951-4943. The fee is $20 per player.

* If you have read to the bottom of this note looking for the explanation of "any volleyball talent" (avt) then you are in for a f'n treat !!!  I would like to define avt as understanding the rules and being able to move your body into positions to contact the ball and either keep the volley going, or ending the volley with your team getting the point.  The two tests see if you lack avt are the groan test and the eye contact test.  If you step on the court of a game already in progress, if someone on the team groans, of if the players will not make eye contact with you, then you may be suffering from a lack of avt.  Sometimes a lack of avt is treatable with lots of practice or increasing your mobility.  If you believe you are suffering from lack of avt, please seek help ;)
