[All_CAVBA] Leagues, New board member, upcoming events

Hello All,

     I just wanted to remind everyone that the league playoffs will be coming up 
next week (2 weeks for women's). It is important that you realize that players 
will not be allowed to play in playoffs who have not played at least once during 
the regular season. After the regular season has been completed, I will post a 
playoff schedule on the website (http://www.CAVBA.org). 


    Congratulations to Jeff Freeman; he will be our new board member when I 
resign in August. A new chairman will be chosen from amongst the current board 
members. I will send an email when that decision has been made. If anyone would 
be willing to perform the duties of Treasurer, we would greatly appreciate it.

    The CAVBA is still holding pickup volleyball on Tuesdays and Saturdays at 
Murray Park. more information can be found at http://www.CAVBA.org

    Sweet Sets Volleyball will be holding a charity coed 3s grass volleyball 
event in Murray Park in Little Rock on Saturday July 31. The entry fee will be 
$50 per team, but all players must be members of the AVP. Teams must have at 
least one female player. We will have Power and Competitive (& hopefully 
juniors) levels of play and we will be providing lunch for all participants. 
Cash prizes as well as merchandise from Wilson (new balls, backpacks, etc.), 
AVP, Colton's, and Sweet Sets will be awarded. More information can be found at

registration form (it is $10 for all of 2010). Make sure to choose "Sweet Sets

   Midsouthdigs.com will be holding a doubles tournament in Memphis this
