[All_CAVBA] CAVBA Board openings, etc.

Hello All,
    The CAVBA board of directors is looking for people interested in becoming the CAVBA Treasurer. The passing of our friend Garry McClellan has left that position open. Anyone who is interested in volunteering to be considered as our treasurer, please send me an email explaining your relevant experience. This is an unpaid position. If anyone has the skills necessary to do this job, we would love to hear from you.

   The CAVBA is also looking for nominations to fill an open Board of Directors seat. If you are interested, please send me an email indicating this. We will vote on the position at our next CAVBA tournament (July 3). Remember, this is a member driven organization and we need all of the help we can get.

   Other News:

The CAVBA has purchased new game balls. They are in the black bag in the green bin. In that bag you will also find several air pumps. Please inflate the balls prior to using them and DEFLATE them before storing them. If the balls are put away inflated, they will ruin quickly (the air inside expands when it gets hot and stretches the ball out); so PLEASE make sure to partially deflate a ball before you put it away.

Our next CAVBA tournament will be held in Murray park on Saturday July 3rd. Lunch will be provided. We will be providing lunch in the form of a cookout (hamburgers, hot dogs, etc.). The tournament will be free for all current members (so make sure you pay your 2010 membership dues!!!).

Sweet Sets Volleyball will be holding Men's, Women's, and Juniors' doubles tournaments this Saturday (6/12) and coed doubles tournaments on Sunday (6/13). More information is available at http://www.SweetSets.com
