[All_CAVBA] League Clarification

Hello All,
     I have been getting a lot of questions about the league, so I will try to offer some clarification:

1) The registration due date for all 4s league teams is Thursday 5/6/10. Teams who have not registered by that date WILL NOT PLAY.

2) The PAYMENT due date for all 4s league teams is Thursday 5/6/10. Teams who have not paid by that date WILL NOT PLAY.

3) The league fee is $80 per team. All Men's and Women's league teams will also need to pay a $50 refundable net deposit.

4) One player from each Men's and Women's team will be required to check in at Murray Park by 5:45 on days they are scheduled to play and must help set up nets. For every day that your team does not provide at least one person to set up nets, your team will lose $10 from your net deposit.

5) All coed teams are required to take down nets upon completion of play. If you do not, you may be forced to forfeit a future match.

6) Thursday May 6th is an optional practice/scrimmage day. Since the registration deadline is May 6, we won't know how many teams we have and can't decide on a playing schedule until after that date. 

7) Thursday May 13th is the first official playing day. The schedule will be posted on our website (http://www.CAVBA.org) late this week or early next week.

8) Men's and Women's games begin at 6pm. Coed games begin immediately after the Men's and Women's matches.

9) Coed teams must have at least one female player. A female must touch the ball on rallies in which more than one touch occurs.

10) All players must be at least 16 years old. Those under 18 (but older than 16) must fill out a Juniors Waiver (available on our website on the "Leagues" page) and have it signed by their parent/guardian. 

11) All players must sign a waiver. This will be available starting on 5/6/10. No player can play until they sign the waiver.

12) If you are put on a roster and play for that team more than once, you can't switch teams. In no event will a player who has played for 2 teams be allowed to switch teams again, unless there are extreme circumstances (as determined by the League Director).

13) In order to be eligible for playoffs, a player must have played at least once for that team during the regular season.
